It’s been an eventful week and my social meter is draining quickly. I had ordered some produce from Misfit Market, which is very convenient but due to where I live I had to cancel my subscription because they keep delivering at the wrong location. That is very frustrating because then I have to leave the house to go find it. I was excited to get more produce because I got a new Juicer! I have the Breville juicer and moved on to a Nama J2 juicer. I recorded unboxing and testing it out and going to upload it on my YouTube channel. I like juicing because it's healthy, they taste good, and it's overall good for you. I believe it is helping me in my journey as well as being a Lupus patient since I have to make sure I am getting the most out of my diet nutrition-wise. I had a kidney ultrasound this week and had to drink 32 oz of water prior and man, I do not like the feeling of having my bladder that full for so long. I am still waiting to hear back about my results. I hope everything is okay though. My last few urine tests had protein in them. I don’t know what that means but apparently, that’s not good.
Work has been semi-busy due to the holidays coming up and I’ve been in at least 1 meeting a day, which is very annoying because you have to be on camera and it's just like FOR WHY? Like it gets it to be personal but still. I was so happy for the weekend to come so I could finally get a decent break. I watched church online and the sermon was titled “break the cycle”, taking from ecc 3:1-8. The pastor reminded us that we are never alone, and we can go to God in prayer whenever we need him. I needed that because a lot of the time I get really discouraged when it doesn’t seem like I’m getting better or got a handle on my symptoms. I did get to enjoy myself this weekend though, my classmate had her 25th birthday party and I got to go ice skating with some of my girlfriends. I haven’t got ice skating since I was a kid maybe like 7 or 8 and then I think like once or twice as a teen for like a birthday but that’s it and let me just tell you, it's not like getting back into rollerblading, totally different ball game. Well, to close out this week, I did go back to the eye doctor to get dilated again and that process is no fun and takes forever but hopefully, the health of my eyes stays intact for a long time. What I learned from my visit is that I have cataracts growing in my left eye and glaucoma in my right eye. The progression is slow so no need to worry right now but I do need to take the appropriate steps of keeping my eyes healthy and frequent visits.
“To everything, there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven” - Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV)
Let me know in the comments if you ever had to get a kidney ultrasound before or experienced any eye issues, I would love to know how they went.
Until next time ... dueces ✌️
