Dear Journal ... I was OOO

These last two weeks have been a little hectic, to say the least. I’ve been trying my best to stay consistent but alas, that has not happened. I almost feel a bit overwhelmed with all the things I need to do and complete. Over the past month, I have been dealing with a lot of emotions and just trying to figure out how I can handle it all.

I went to see a nephrologist this week and I have to urinate in a container for 24 hrs so that they can test my protein levels. If it’s less than 200 I’m in the clear, if higher they’re going to have to run more tests. I really hope I don’t develop lupus nephritis, so I am going to make sure I take preliminary cautious steps to try and avoid it.

On the bright side now, I went on a mini-vacation. I spent a few days with long-time friends in San Diego and in Palm Springs, California. I really needed the break. The weather was in the mid-60s-low 70s the whole time but luckily I packed accordingly. It was a pretty relaxing trip, not too much to do in the Palm Springs area.

Upon coming back to the east coast, I had a follow-up appointment with my rheumatologist. Everything seems fine for now but I’ve been having pain in my left wrist for some time she ruled it as arthritis and I have a ganglion cyst. Hopefully, by wearing a brace when lifting or typing will help elevate some of the pain I feel from it. I’m hoping that now that I am back at work that things aren’t too crazy or hectic. I did come back to over 200 emails and I’ve been slowly working through them, making sure I didn’t or don't miss anything.

I’m hoping as the weeks go by things will be better and managing my health will be easier.

This week I am showing gratitude for …

  1. Showing patience
  2. Being Intentional
  3. Being content
  4. Practicing gratitude

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might." ~ Ephesians 6:10
